The People
Welcome to my blog, this is about ordinary people who do extra ordinary things. People who are an example through the way they live(d) their own lives. They are not perfect, but I appreciate the little good they have done and what I have learnt from them.

Eric Wainaina
His songs are the metaphorical voice in the dessert, they brought us through The Bomb Blast and through the 2007/2008 Chaos. He is one person I trully admire not only because he sings about what most Kenyans and Africans feel and in a language that we speak but because he speaks to us and not for us or at us. He has earned respect all over the world for his brave lyrics. He has bent rules and gone against the norm to learn other african languages to sing in. Him being a Kikuyu and singing in Luo is a step that many Kenyans should take ie to accept all other tribes, no tribe is better than the other. We have weaknesses as human beings and also as tribes due to different cultures, hence we need each and every tribe in Kenya to work together to overcome the weaknesses by pooling our strength together. The 42tribes are like body parts, without them the body is not whole and the body needs each part to function optimally.
Look out for Eric's new Album to be released soon. Enjoy the African Voices featuring Eric.
